What will you do?
As a BigData Engineer you will design, develop and maintain data pipelines and anomaly detection models which process huge volumes of trading and trade related data; be instrumental in
providing technical direction to leverage the most relevant technologies for the different business use cases. Work towards adapting of the most optimal technologies as well as improving the adoption of the latest technologies across engineering teams; Driving Quality: implementing processes and procedures to maximize the overall quality of software; develop an understanding of evolving regulatory frameworks & leverage cutting edge technologies to manage firm regulatory and reputational risk; develop and drive the institutionalization of best practices around coding, testing – scalability, stability and quality, code reviews and operational readiness across the teams.
Your skills:
- MBA or Bachelor/ Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a similar field of study.
- 4+ years’ experience in software development
- Experience in developing and designing end-to-end solutions to enterprise standards including automated testing and SDLC.
- Ability (and tenacity) to clearly express ideas and arguments in meetings and on paper.
- Experience with one or more of ; Java, Spark, Hadoop, Flink, MapReduce, HBase, JSON, Protobuf, Presto, Elastic Search, Kafka, Kubernetes
- Expertise in Java or any other Object-Oriented Language, as well as proficiency with databases and data manipulation
- Data analysis using tools such as SQL, Spark SQL, Zeppelin/Jupyter
