We have an opportunity for a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer supporting one of our customers remotely.




MINIMUM CLEARANCE LEVEL: Public Trust (CBP Active Highly Desired)

LOCATION: Remote.



Position Description:

This program will deliver engineering services for network infrastructure as well as sophisticated enterprise computing infrastructure including end-point devices, data center hosted servers, multi-Cloud services as well as virtualized applications, and storage systems. Enterprise Computing Engineering services include modern application technology including containerized solutions with orchestrated workflow that function both on customer premise, and via remote Cloud services. Network infrastructure engineering services are comprised of core infrastructure, voice and video engineering, field engineering, application management and development for networks, network analytics, firewalls, network access controls and bandwidth service delivery. Supports the implementation of security controls, documenting control implementations and developing SSP and POA&M documentation. Skilled in Risk Management Framework and in the use of tools designed to support system vulnerability testing and assessments. The Cybersecurity Engineer will perform day-to-day management of support operations, possibly involving multiple projects and groups of personnel at multiple locations. They will organize, direct, and coordinate the planning and production of all support activities and work products; demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills; establish and adjust (as necessary) structure to align with support activities. Coordinates, develops, and advises on security programs for an organization. Responsible for providing technical knowledge and analysis of highly specialized IT related applications, systems and operational environment, high-level functional systems analysis, design, integration, documentation and implementation advice on moderately complex to complex problems that require an appropriate level of knowledge of the subject matter for effective implementation. Applies principles, methods, and knowledge of the functional area of capability to specific task order requirements, advanced mathematical principles and methods to exceptionally difficult and narrowly defined technical problems in engineering and other scientific applications to arrive at automated solutions.


Will Serve as the principal liaison between the customer and supporting personnel for the specific cyber task areas.


 


Position Requirements:


 


Has extensive IT experience with Cyber Security Policy and threat mitigation. Is well versed in Cyber Security Tools, network topologies, intrusion detection, PKI, and secured networks.  Poses a high level of expertise in developing long term strategies and be knowledgeable about various cyber threats and there mitigation.



  • Experience with Security Event & Incident Management (SEIM) tools (e.g. LogRhythm, Splunk).

  • Experience evaluating the cyber compliance of a system against Federal Cybersecurity policies and experience providing systems engineering, or operational support to the TSA, including supporting system administration, and systems security, including review of preliminary and critical designs, and subsequent configuration changes, to ensure compliance with established security requirements.

  • Knowledge of applicable regulations, including DoD 8500.02, DoD 8510, NIST SP 800-37, NIST SP 800-53 or 53A, NIST SP 800-30, or CNSSI 1253

  • Understanding STIGs and ability to provide direction based on STIGs


 


Educational Requirements/ Qualifications:



  • Educational Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in computer systems engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Telecommunications Engineering, Software Engineering

  • 10 years’ experience working in Cybersecurity.

  • One or more of the following certifications

    • CISSP (or Associate),

    • Certified Information Systems Security Professional – Information System Security Engineering Professional (CISSP-ISSEP) Highly desired




Desired certifications:



  • Security+ CE   

  • Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
